This week at AIS, students had the opportunity to use the new skating rink that is located behind the school. Students braved frigid temperatures while showing Mr. Ryan and Ms. Elena their skating abilities. I (Mr. Ryan) was very impressed with how well students could already skate and enjoyed playing games with each year group. Many students were skating for the first time and earned many house points because they showed a great deal of courage and determination while on the ice.
While the weather continues to remain cold, students will be encouraged to continue their skating lessons for the remainder of the winter season.
