Letter from Head of Secondary

A feeling of euphoria and closure has descended upon the Senior School at Skolkovo as we dot the ‘i’s’ and cross the ‘t’s’ on the end of year report and watch the Year 13s finish their final exams. We have a had a busy week with Years 7-10 working through their May Examination period, and as our pupils and teachers put the finishing touches on the End of Year Dance, with its Great Gatsby theme, and the Year-End Concert.

The Year-End Concert will incorporate the Leaver’s Ceremony in which the matriculating class will be presented to the community and receive their leaving certificates and congratulations. This will be held on Saturday the 2nd of June, beginning at 10.00am.

We have a number of excursions going out next week as part of our Service and Charity programme and will be donating 5 boxes of books to a local children’s home, that were donated and collected by the pupils as part of our Book Week celebrations.

Many of our pupils have heard back from their preferred universities with many opting to study in the UK at Universities such as Westminster, Edinburgh, City, Brunel and Sussex. Some have opted for the Netherlands with offers from TU Delft and the University of Amsterdam, and others have decided to try locally with two pupils hoping to enter MGIMO. We wish our pupils all the best as they take their final A Level and EGE examinations.

With the weather heating up, I encourage you all to get out and enjoy the sun as summer sets in! Have a fantastic fortnight.
