On the last school day before the spring break, Early Years and Year 1 students took part in an art workshop. Together with their teachers and Art teacher Miss Darya, the students created boxes decorated in the technique of decoupage and scrapbooking postcards.
The word decoupage comes from French "decouper" meaning to cut out or cut from something. So, this art of decorating objects consists in gluing colored paper cutouts onto it (in our case a jewelry box) in combination with special paint effects and decorative elements. As a complement to this interesting hand-crafted gift, students made a scrapbook postcard. As a basis, they took cardboard and decorated it with colored paper, ribbons and other elements of decor. We hope that such creative greetings will please all parents!
